“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3
Dear Stephanie + Saul,
Some stories don’t begin the way we imagine—but it’s the turn of the page that defines the journey.
When I first read your story, one word echoed through my spirit: Teshuvah. The return. The turning back. Not just to one another, but to the Author of love Himself. What you’ve walked through together—sixteen years of missed marks, of chatah, of trying to do it your own way—is something many would have given up on. But not you. You allowed Yahweh to do what only He can: restore.
As a photographer who deeply values faith-filled love stories, I have a special place in my heart for capturing the journeys of Messianic Jews and Torah Observant Believers—those who honor the Torah, walk in covenant, and seek to glorify Yah in their relationships. Photographing couples like you isn’t just work—it’s worship.
Your love is not just a love renewed—it’s a covenant reborn.
You met in 2007. You began a family in 2010. Four beautiful children later, life had written some pages you never expected. But then came October 2023—a separation that looked like an ending. And yet, it was only a pause in the story. Because He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it.
Stephanie, your journey into Torah in April 2023 was the spark Yah used to start the restoration. As He called you closer, you warred with the flesh—but He was at work behind the scenes, softening hearts, healing wounds, realigning purpose. Now, Saul has joined you and the children, not just in home, but in covenant—standing side-by-side with you to please our Abba, to follow His ways, and to begin again.
What joy and beauty there is in doing it right, this time.
You told me you love to dance—and I believe that’s the perfect picture of what your relationship is now. A dance of forgiveness. A rhythm of grace. A choreography that only Yah could have written.
When you look back at these photos in 20 years, I pray you don’t just see smiles or poses. I pray you see the evidence of healing, the fruit of obedience, the proof that restoration is possible when we submit our hearts to the Most High.
Yes, I’ll make room for a few soulful, romantic, and even flirty moments (piggyback rides are optional 😂), but most importantly—I want these images to whisper, “Yah heals. Yah restores. Yah reigns.”
It is my deep honor to capture this next chapter in your love story. Thank you for trusting me with your testimony.
With all my heart,
Rae
