Dear Makinzie + Kase,
From the moment I arrived at Coyote Ranch Resort in Wichita Falls, TX, I knew this wedding would be unforgettable—and not just because of the elegant black and white details or the perfectly styled modern touches. It was the way the two of you looked at each other, and the joy in the room as your friends and family gathered to celebrate something so sacred, so beautiful: your covenant.
Every part of the day was a reflection of who you are as a couple—Makinzie, radiant and full of grace, with your stunning gown and flawless makeup. And Kase, the calm to her vibrant energy, a true gentleman who kept his suit jacket on the entire time without a single complaint (you deserve an award for that, seriously!). Your personalities complemented each other so effortlessly—it was an honor to witness it.
One of the most unforgettable parts of your day was something no one could have predicted: when the power unexpectedly went out for nearly an hour. For a moment, the atmosphere shifted, and I could see it in your eyes, Makinzie—you were disappointed, understandably so. But something beautiful came out of that quiet pause.
It reminded me of Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Sometimes, when the power “goes out” in our plans—whether at a wedding or in life—it’s a divine invitation to be still, reset, and remember that even in the absence of lights or noise, love still shines. And your love certainly did. The way your friends and family rallied around you, the way you carried yourself with grace and composure, it spoke volumes.
From the first touch and personal vows, to the touching father-daughter first look, and your sweet mama helping you get ready, it was a day full of beautiful traditions and unforgettable moments. I especially loved the tribute to your grandmother—a silent seat filled with love and memory. Thank you for allowing me to capture that sacred detail.
You told me before your big day that you wanted your photos to make you smile in 20 years—and I believe these will. Every image tells the story of a bride who never stopped smiling, and a groom who quietly adored her every step of the way.
Thank you for trusting Rae De Lain, your Dallas Fort Worth Wedding Photographer, to document the beginning of this chapter. It was an honor to stand with you, camera in hand, capturing every smile, every tear, every power-filled (and powerless!) moment.
With love and admiration,
Rae
