Earthy Elegance at Trickle Creek Ranch: Jaclyn + Austin
When a couple tells me their ideal wedding day is one that "flows smoothly without drama," I know we are going to have a fantastic time. Jaclyn and Austin’s celebration at Trickle Creek Ranch was the definition of easygoing, comfortable, and deeply connected to nature.
With a sophisticated color palette of eucalyptus green, dark teal, light gray, and ivory, the day felt like a breath of fresh air against the rustic, sprawling backdrop of one of my favorite venues.
A Ceremony Under the Trees
The centerpiece of Jaclyn and Austin’s "Earthy" theme was the stunning ceremony tree at Trickle Creek. It provided a natural, soulful canopy as they exchanged vows in a service officiated by Hal Robinson.
We made sure to capture the specific details that Jaclyn held dear: the excitement of the flower girl, the intricate lace of her dress and unique wedding cape from Fiancé Bridal Boutique, and Austin’s sharp look in his suit from Men’s Warehouse. These are the moments that truly tell the story of a couple’s style.
Art, Hamburgers, and "Bright + Airy" Vibes
One of the most unique elements of the day was a canvas painting ceremony, a creative way to document their union. I loved capturing the movement and color of this moment!
The reception was just as personal and fun, featuring:
- The Food: A crowd favorite, Skinny’s Hamburgers, kept the vibe casual and delicious.
- The Sweets: A beautiful (and tasty!) creation from HEB.
- The Energy: Extra Entertainment provided the perfect soundtrack and lighting to keep the "fun and easygoing" atmosphere alive all night.
Capturing the Natural Beauty
Jaclyn and Austin specifically requested a Bright + Airy editing style to highlight the venue's gorgeous outdoor spaces. We focused on finding those flattering angles and soft, natural light that make a gallery feel timeless.
From the detail shots of their rings by Sovereign Jewelers to wide-angle captures of the ranch’s landscape, every photo was aimed at preserving the "fun and comfortable" energy they worked so hard to create.
Preservation for a Lifetime
Jaclyn and Austin are looking forward to turning these memories into a custom wedding album and prints. In 20 years, they’ll be able to look back and remember exactly how it felt to stand under that ceremony tree, surrounded by their favorite people and the beauty of the Texas outdoors.
