There is nothing quite like the energy of the Fort Worth Stockyards. It’s the perfect blend of rugged Texas history and vibrant Southern charm. But even amidst all that iconic culture, Hannum and Holden managed to steal the show during their incredible engagement session.


I have been anticipating this shoot for a long time, and finally getting these two in front of my lens was pure magic. This session was a testament to style, connection, and a perfect kind of "fate."


When You Just Know: Our Fate at a Wedding

The story of how Hannum and I connected is one of my favorites. We actually met at another couple’s wedding I was photographing. Hannum was a guest, and she told me later that after seeing me work that day, she just knew she wanted me to capture her own future wedding.


There is no higher compliment! As a Fort Worth wedding photographer, that level of trust is everything. Getting to know her and Holden during this chapter of their engagement has been such a joy, and it all started with that instant connection.


Teal, Texture, and "Texas Southern" Style

For their session, Hannum chose the perfect look for a Texas Southern aesthetic. She wore a breathtaking teal maxi dress that contrasted beautifully with the Stockyards' palette of aged brick, rustic wood, and dusty cobblestone. The color was vibrant, sophisticated, and absolutely popped against the historic backdrops.


It was also impossible to miss that Hannum is actually a professional Hair and Makeup Artist. With her stunning blonde hair styled to perfection and an effortlessly flawless makeup application, she radiated confidence and camera-ready elegance. It was an iconic example of how intentional style choices can elevate an already beautiful connection.


Celebrating Their Next Chapter

Holden’s classic style perfectly complemented Hannum’s bold choice, and their chemistry was undeniable. We laughed our way through the historic district, finding incredible spots from the cattle drive route to the quieter, textured alleyways.


This session wasn't just about beautiful photos—it was about celebrating the legacy they are building. I am so honored that Hannum and Holden trusted me to tell this piece of their story in the heart of Fort Worth.
