Some wedding days feel touched by something divine — moments when you can see G-d’s hand at work, weaving every detail together in perfect timing. Emily and Khoji’s wedding at The Laurel in Grapevine, Texas, was one of those unforgettable days.
Just before the ceremony, a small storm rolled through — the kind that makes everyone hold their breath and pray a little harder. The power even went out for a while, leaving us all in that hushed stillness that only anticipation brings. But then, right before Emily walked down the aisle, everything came back to life. The lights flickered on, the music began to play, and it was as if heaven itself whispered, “Let there be light.” ✨
The Laurel was the perfect backdrop — a venue that embodies timeless romance and Southern sophistication. From its grand stone exterior to the warm, intimate chapel, every corner felt like a love story waiting to unfold. The staff and attendants were beyond kind and accommodating, ensuring that every guest and vendor felt cared for, even in the midst of a wild Texas storm.
Emily was an absolute vision. Her gown had the most beautiful vintage charm — a delicately embroidered top and a silhouette that moved like poetry. She carried herself with such grace, joy, and peace, ready to step into her new chapter as a wife. And Khoji — he couldn’t have looked more dashing in his tailored blue suit paired with those classic brown shoes. Together, they were the perfect picture of elegance and love.
Their color palette of soft whites, greens, and lilacs felt like spring had bloomed right inside the chapel. 🌿💐 I’m still in awe of how breathtaking the florals were! I’ve worked with Ashlinn before, but I had no idea she had such an incredible gift for floral design. Her company, @petalandpartycodfw, absolutely blew me away — from the chapel arrangements that took your breath away to Emily’s stunning bouquet and her bridesmaids’ romantic, pastel blooms. 🌸 Every detail was thoughtfully designed, creating an atmosphere full of peace, joy, and grace.
We laughed, we celebrated, and somewhere between portraits and dance floor moments, Emily and I discovered we’re both Puerto Rican sisters! 🇵🇷✨ It was one of those sweet surprises that made the day even more special.
