A Love Story Years in the Making | Bria & Chris at Union House, Cleburne, Texas
Some wedding stories begin with a consultation. Others begin with a referral. Bria and Chris's story with me began at another wedding entirely.
I remember meeting Bria and immediately being drawn to her sweet spirit. She was one of those people who makes you feel like you've known her forever. At some point during the wedding day, she looked at me and confidently said, "When I get married, you're going to photograph my wedding." Of course, I smiled and thanked her, never imagining that just a few short weeks later, she would reach out and become one of my own brides. And what an honor it was.
Bria and Chris have been together for many years, building a beautiful life, friendship, and family together long before they ever stood at the altar. Their wedding day wasn't just the beginning of a new chapter—it was the celebration of a love story that had already weathered seasons, grown roots, and flourished.
Their wedding took place at the stunning Union House in Cleburne, Texas, surrounded by the people who have loved and supported them throughout their journey. From the moment I arrived, there was a sense of peace and joy woven throughout the entire day. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt forced. It simply felt right.
One of my favorite things about Bria is that she completely breaks every stereotype. As a preacher's kid (or PK, as many know it), she carries herself with incredible grace, kindness, and respect. Her manners are impeccable, and she has one of the sweetest hearts you'll ever meet. Yet despite all of that elegance, she's not exactly what you'd call a girly girl—and honestly, that's part of what makes her so lovable. She is authentically herself, and Chris absolutely adores her for it.
Their wedding design reflected timeless elegance at its finest. Classic black and champagne details created a sophisticated atmosphere throughout the day. Guests arrived dressed in formal black attire, giving the entire celebration a refined and luxurious feel that perfectly complemented the beauty of Union House.
As beautiful as the details were, it was the people who made this day unforgettable. Family and friends filled every corner of the venue with laughter, encouragement, and love. And while there were many meaningful moments throughout the day, one that remains etched in my memory was a prayer given by one of the most incredible women I've ever met—a pastor's wife whose words carried so much wisdom, warmth, and sincerity. It was one of those moments that causes an entire room to pause and remember what marriage is truly about.
The covenant. The commitment. The blessing of building a life together.
And speaking of building a life together, Bria and Chris share the sweetest little boy imaginable. While you won't see him featured on my social media pages because I choose to protect children's privacy online, trust me when I say he completely stole the show. Dressed in the most adorable three-piece suit that matched his dad, he looked like a tiny gentleman and was every bit as precious as you can imagine.
As the day unfolded, there were happy tears, joyful embraces, heartfelt prayers, and countless moments that reminded everyone present why weddings matter. They are not simply celebrations; they are testimonies. They are reminders that love is patient, enduring, and worth waiting for.
Bria and Chris's wedding was all of those things. Elegant. Joyful. Meaningful. And above all, centered on the love they have spent years building together.
Bria and Chris, thank you for trusting me to preserve one of the most important days of your lives. What began as a conversation at someone else's wedding became one of my favorite celebrations to photograph. Watching you exchange vows surrounded by your family, friends, and your precious son was a gift I won't soon forget.
