A Covenant of Purity: Abi + Drew’s Sacred Union at the Fort Worth Water Gardens
In a world that often feels like it is drifting through waves of compromise, where the sacredness of intimacy is frequently overlooked, there are still those who choose a different path. There are still couples who decide to stand firm, honoring the Lord by saving themselves and waiting for the gift of intimacy within the holy bounds of marriage.
Abi and Drew are that couple. Their wedding wasn't just a ceremony; it was a bold statement of faith and a beautiful reflection of Hebrews 13:4:
"Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
A Kingdom Connection: From the Birth Room to the Altar
This wedding was deeply personal for me because of the spiritual history I share with Abi’s mother, Melinda. When my grandson was born, Melinda was my daughter’s doula, and the experience was nothing short of supernatural. We bartered our services—an exchange of life-giving gifts—and the presence of the Lord in that room was undeniable.
I will never forget the moment my grandson entered the world. The atmosphere shifted, and the room was filled with the Ruach (the Spirit of God). We broke into "other tongues," and Melinda was the main person to go into the heavenlies with me in that moment of intercession and praise. When you labor in the Spirit with someone like that, a bond is formed that is eternal.
The Sweetness of Abi + Drew
From the very first moment I met Abi, I felt her incredibly sweet spirit. She carries a peace and a kindness that can only come from a deep walk with the Father. To be chosen to document her and Drew’s wedding was a true "full circle" honor for me.
They chose the Fort Worth Water Gardens for their intimate ceremony. The rushing water and the concrete architecture provided a serene, almost cathedral-like atmosphere right in the heart of the city. It was the perfect backdrop for a couple who had decided to be "in the world, but not of it."
A Foundation Built on the Rock
As Abi and Drew stepped into their new life together, the air felt thick with the favor of God. They have honored Him with their patience, and now they get to walk in the fullness of His blessing. They are a living example of Matthew 7:24-25:
"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."
Abi and Drew, may your home always be a dwelling place for the Ruach, and may your love continue to be a light in a dark world. It was a blessing to witness your covenant.
